A lady boarded the bus after we cleared the Malaysia customs and I think shes a coordinator or some sort, I think she did quite a good job even though I believe the angmos had a tough time understanding her. She gave all of us a run-through on the entire bus journey and gave recommendations to those back-packers on many different issues. We were told that the coach will stop at two destinations, Mersing Jetty first and then Tanjung Gemok jetty (our stop).

As usual… she can sleep anywhere, anytime.
We stopped at Panti or Punti for a short break. Some people had their lunch but all we got were some drinks..

Drinking my coke instead of her own mineral water…

Half a bottle gone… =P

A shot of two of us…
After dropping some passengers at Mersing, we had to travel for another 30mins to Tanjung Gemok. When we reached our stop, before we could even step down the coach, the coordinator told us the ferry had broken down and the coach will send us back to Mersing so that we can take another ferry. Crap right.
All of us went back to our seats and waited for quite a bit before she came back and tell us that the broken ferry was repaired. -.-”” Somehow it reminds me of playing WarCraft2 when buildings and vehicles can be repaired in a matter of seconds and minutes. LOL.
It was already noon at the time. We had to stay at the waiting area for an hour before the ferry reaches the jetty so we used the time to take some pictures.

Still holding on to my coke!!!

Fast Ferry Ventures… they who issued us our ferry tickets and explained in half english half malay where the ferry will stop.
It took more than an hour of ferry ride before we could see the sunny island of Pulau Tioman. The choppy waters made the ride so bumpy and noisy with consistent banging and knocking.
The ferry had to stop at three different places namely Genting Village, Paya Village and Tekek Village. Unfortunately, we were the last to alight as our destination is at Tekek Village, and from there we still need to hop on a shuttle-bus/lorry/tram to the resort. Such long and draggy journey.
A video of the ferry passing by the resort as it approaches the jetty at Tekek Village.
To be continued…
