Do you ever keep track the number of times you were greeted or greeted somebody whenever you return home from work or school? For many years, most of the time when I return home, the door would be closed, lights were all out, all I see is a house filled with emptiness, darkness and loneliness.
At least for the past four years I get to see my little dog. He would give me that dont-care expression. It does not matter because I would go over and give him a big hug or a rub on his tummy and he seems to enjoy that very much. Thanks little Toto, at least things were a little more lively with you around.
And when was the last time you had a home cooked dinner? Yesterday? Last week? I haven”t had mine for… damn I couldn”t remember, I guess almost a year.
Having home cooked dinner is a moment I treasure very much. Many people took it for granted. Everyday when its dinner time, they do not have to worry about spending any cents, or get their head spinning over what to eat. Many are even picky on what is served on the dinning table, they eat only what they like and complain about those dishes that do not suit their tastes or cravings. These people just do not appreciate things around them.
I guess I do not have much of a choice, my parents have to work till midnight on most of the days, it is the nature of their business. I do not wish to see my mum tired out also.
Well, it has been this way for almost two decades, having dinner outside can be as happy, it just lack the warmth that home cooked dinner gives.
*Very thankful and loving everything around me – my family, my dog, my girlfriend, my home*
