One of the toughest semester thus far has finally ended. Solely due to one particular module called Parallel Processing. The only module that stretches till the end of the final week; has 3 lab assignments each with tedious tasks and report; 1 lab demonstration to explain your understanding and an online quiz. Every questions in the past year paper can be given a unique name because none of them repeats, each is different and each took me a few hours to tackle. Very demoralizing. Fortunately, our paper were not as tough as I expected, at least I could still write something to most questions.
Hopefully all profs can be merciful and close one eye on my careless mistakes =P
Last night I met up with the NTU gang for some celebrations. We went to a chinese restaurant at a hotel that provides ala-carte (eat all you can) buffet costing about 28 dollars each. Settings were so weird when we entered the restaurant, it felt like we were going to a wedding dinner. The stage still had the newly wed names on it and they were playing instrumental love song music. WEIRD.
Food was good. Chinese food remains my favourite cuisine afterall. Very very filling.
During the entire course of dinner, we were all bombarded by a series of shuper duper freezing cold jokes by Jackson and Chengyi. They were both PK-ing each other in with their cruelly stunning riddles.
The dishes came and Chengyi asked : “Wahh.. do you all know who cannot come eat this kind of buffet?” Answer: “April. Because April ‘full’. -.-”
Jackson asked : “Why do you go and see your computer when you’re are sick?” Answer: “Because during early school days, you report to your class ‘monitor’ when you’re sick”. -.-”””
More of these were fired up from their strangely wired but smart brains. In fact, these were happening since school start two years ago. If I were to record each joke on paper, it could probably stack up as high as my lecture notes.
Jonathan got the rest of the photos (he is the only one who brought proper camera). But too bad he doesn’t have a blog. Gotta get from them and post them up. =)
Updates – Photos! (from Jonathan’s super wide lens).
